The Marches Careers Hub

The Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care System (ICSs)

The Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care System (ICSs) are partnerships of organisations that have come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services and to improve the lives of people who live and work in our area.

Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin ICS includes the following healthcare providers: ​

  • The Shrewsbury and Telford hospital NHS Trust
  • The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
  • Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust
  • Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • West Midlands Ambulance Service Foundation Trust
  • 51 GP practices across 4 Primary care Networks.

There are also two local authorities within our ICS:

  • Shropshire council
  • Telford and Wrekin Council.

We also work closely with Shropshire Partners in Care, looking at social care providers.

Telford College

Telford College plans to engage with 2,000 young people in college-based programmes, 700 apprentices and over 3,000 adult learners each academic year. Level 2 and 3 apprenticeships are offered in a range of areas including accounting, automotive, business, IT, construction, early years, teaching assistant and engineering. These routes give apprentices the chance to gain valuable qualifications alongside real-world work experience whilst earning money. Short and free courses for those aged over 19 are offered in person or online and range from team leading to mental health first aid. Telford College also offers several courses designed to improve employability skills for jobseekers which can see learners gain an HGV, FLT or SIA security licence for free or level 2 and 3 qualifications in a variety of areas.
